A Decade of CEO Leadership in Ethiopian Education

First, under our CEO's leadership, HERQA became ETA. This was a significant change, the first in over 20 years. Our CEO also played a key role in creating laws to control and improve education in Ethiopia. Our CEO made sure ETA got a proper office. It cost $10 million, funded by the World Bank, and now we have a modern office that's a hub for our work. Our CEO improved how people see ETA. He worked on communication and public relations, making ETA a trusted education authority.
To keep education quality high, our CEO exposed illegal education providers. He's also working to make ETA self-reliant and able to regulate education in Ethiopia on its own. In the last ten years, our CEO's leadership has brought big changes to Ethiopian education. These are important steps as we work to make education in Ethiopia better.
